   This Angola native succulent has interesting 2' to 3' long and about 1" thick dark green cylindrical leaves with light green bands emerging from a fan shaped rosette. S. cylindrica
has 1.5" pinkish tinged, pale green, tubular flowers that bloom annually in spring to mid-summer.

   This evergreen Kenya native foliage plant is known for its' narrower (compared to other Sansevierias) and smaller mottled green lance shaped leaves, that reach a height of only 10 to 20 inches tall, and about 1 inch wide at most.  Grouped in rosettes of 6 to 12 leaves, this plant tends to form runners, offsets frequently, and grows relatively rapidly once established.  It prefers shade, doesn't mind getting quite dry, and will survive temperatures below 30°F if left dry.  In early summer it develops small fragrant whitish blooms clustered on a single stalk.  Parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested.
